City Council Members Take Action with FAA

City Council President Herb Wesson reports that after learning that more than 67% of all aircraft passing through the DAHJR waypoint are below the FAA’s mandate of 6,000 foot altitude, he worked with fellow Councilmembers Marqueece Harris-Dawson and Mike Bonin to send a joint letter to FAA Administrator Michael Huerta addressing the issue.

Update On October 22, 2017: The LA Times ran an article reporting that the concern with the FAA's new system is widespread with lawsuits and complaints from Maryland to Newport Beach. They note that there were 5,700 noise complaints in the West Adams / University Park area in September, but only one the prior September. Read the full article.
